Looking for a unique historical presentation -- and maybe raise some funds too?
How would you like to do a one of a kind evening bringing history alive?
Would your organization want to give your patrons something to talk about?
Consider hosting a 1915 dinner party for
ex-President Theodore
Roosevelt
!!!!
Raise funds for your organization and enjoy a different type of evening.
Imagine hosting a dinner for formally dressed guests. When they arrive and present their invitations you present them to the ex-President. They then go into a reception area for small talk and visiting. At a signal the gentlemen escort the ladies into the dining area where they are served a meal prepared with recipes of the era. As music from the era is played the talk is of what is happening in your town in 1915. At the end of the courses Mr. Roosevelt gives a statement in his old and familiar style and then takes questions from those gathered round. As the evening closes guests mingle and have their photos taken with Mr. Roosevelt and are given a souvenir card of the evening.
If this sounds like an evening your people would enjoy please consider hosting such an event. Mr. Young will be glad to send a packet of how to host such a dinner. The packet will have recipes from the period, music selections and fashion styles for ladies and gentlemen. You will be able to select topics for Mr. Roosevelt to speak on. Ticket and invitation samples will also be in the packet. Basic manners and courtesies of the period will be covered.
